About IAOGI Canada

Seeking to Serve. Since 1918.

 The vision

The uniqueness of IAOGI | CANADA is its conviction of the sovereignty of the local church. We are eager for Mighty Holy Spirit to have an instrument which is flexible in the “hands of our Lord” during this critical time of history. We envision a continued outpouring of the Spirit of God, breathing life and resurrection into His own body. It is imperative that ministers and churches are able to follow through on the mandate given by God without interference from an ecclesiastical hierarchy. For this we have been born!

Our History

World Outreach

IAOGI | CANADA was birthed in the year 1918 as the Scandinavian Assemblies of God in the United States of America, Canada and Foreign Lands.

It existed under this name from 1918 to 1935. In 1935 at an annual convention in Minneapolis Minnesota, the Scandinavian Assemblies of God merged with a group called the Independent Pentecostal Churches. The name of the this new fellowship was, and to this day remains, the Independent Assemblies of God International.

God has raised IAOGI | CANADA to be an Apostolic ministry.

We have churches and ministries throughout America, Africa, Canada, Cuba, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Nagaland, Philippines and Romania. Much of our overseas ministry is done by nationals under the direction of National Overseers. In these explosive times we presently have calls and invitations to build and assist in many other countries.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

– Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)
